About Layton Paloutzian

Layton was born and raised in Redding, California, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those around him. Growing up in a large, close-knit family—more than 100 members strong—he developed a deep appreciation for relationships and meaningful connection.

Before joining Bright Lake, he spent years working at a senior facility where he acted as the Environmental Service Director where he learned strategic leadership and focused on each client’s well-being. Layton’s interest in finance began at a young age when he started tutoring calculus and it flourished into a broader interest when he learned about retirement planning. He also spent the last six years writing retirement plans for his peers.

His upbringing continues to shape how he serves clients today. He is naturally drawn to meeting new people and values the opportunity to build long lasting relationships that leave a mark on people’s lives. Layton’s goal is simple: that every person who sits down with him leaves feeling more confident and clear about their retirement than when they walked in. He chose to work with Bright Lake because at the core, he wants to continue serving people well and helping them as seasons change in their lives.

Outside of work Layton enjoys spending time with his family and especially his wife, Izzy and their dog Walnut. Whether it’s hiking, biking or exploring new destinations, they make it a priority to visit national and state parks throughout the year.
