Lori grew up in Connecticut as the second of four children, where she developed a strong foundation in both academics and athletics. From a young age, she was a go-getter. Her natural talent to see patterns and solve problems, in addition to her tenacious attitude to achieve greatness, encouraged an interest in mechanical engineering. In effect, she earned her mechanical engineering degree from the University of Connecticut and became a high school science teacher in New Jersey. She moved on to complete her MBA in finance at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as well.

Her passion for finance came when she was working for American Power Conversion and the company stock split 5 times in just over 10 years. As an employee she learned a lot about stock options, trading windows and finance in general. The company growth was challenging and exciting for her and fueled the thesis she wrote for her MBA on how Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) can work against a growing company. Like her younger years, she saw a pattern and took it upon herself to dissect a resolution. As many of the employees became stock rich (like SE now), it created issues for management. Lori went to work on how to prevent people in the future from falling into the same trap. The experience provided insight into how important financial management can be and the impact it can have on corporations and individuals. She began her career as a financial advisor in 2011 to help teach others the lessons she learned from her time at APC and throughout her career.

Before relocating to California in 2023, she lived in New Jersey and Nevada. Her and her husband, Jeff, decided to move west in preparation for retirement. Jeff is a US Army Special Forces Veteran. Lori, Jeff, her five children, two step-children, family and friends enjoy skiing and sailing adventures when she is not in the office. Her life reflects a balance of professional achievement, teamwork, and deep commitment to family and she thoroughly enjoys sharing the knowledge she has developed with every person she meets.
